Helpful FAQ's
What are the steps in the hiring process?
Our hiring process is almost completely online and can be completed, start to finish, in less than one week!
1. Complete an online application by clicking Apply Now. Select the appropriate application link.
2. Once your application is submitted, our Onboarding team will review and reach out to you for an interview.
3. After the interview, we will provide instruction for you to complete necessary new hire paperwork and applicable trainings, as well as obtain any required education or certification documents. TOC will also submit a criminal background check at no cost to you.
4. You are hired! Complete orientation, receive access to our Absence Management system, and begin substituting!
How do I log back in to an application that I started in the past?
You can log into an application that you had previously started by going to Talent > Apply Now and then selecting the application type that you had started in the past. Click 'Sign In' in the top right and enter in the login information that you originally created. If you need login assistance, select the 'Forgot username' or 'Forgot password' link, or contact the Teachers On Call office.
If I have previously worked with Teachers On Call, do I need to reapply to sub again?
If you worked with Teachers On Call in the past, you do not need to complete a new application. Just contact our office and we will work with you to get your employment status updated.
If I have previously been employed with a school district that is transitioning to Teachers On Call, do I have to complete the entire application process?
We have an expedited hiring process just for candidates who were previously employed with our partner school districts to make the transition as seamless as possible. However, because we are a different company and must follow the appropriate privacy and hiring laws, there are some pieces that we need all prospective talent to complete - such as an application, government-issued paperwork, and possible trainings.
Do you hire year-round?
Yes! The greatest need for educators is throughout the traditional school year, when we do the majority of our hiring. Anyone who applies during the summer months will be ready to go when school starts up again in the fall!
